Constant Learning Means Better Teaching
I have repeatedly found that helping a student understand something can be as simple as providing a new way to look at a problem or a different context to think about some new concept. I use my various experiences in classrooms (both as a student and teacher), science labs, or even the kitchen (cooking is basically chemistry), to develop new perspectives. I am constantly on the lookout for new things to learn in order to improve my teaching.
Current Project: Learning to Code!
I am trying to teach myself JavaScript and some related web development tools. Hopefully, I can bring some more function and tools to this site!
I am using Codecademy to learn the language, and am working on a few small projects to help practice (I will post them whenever I can get them to work!)

Current Reading: The Science of Discworld by Terry Pratchet
Recent books:
- The Martian, by Andy Weir (great book with some cool excuses to chat about science and engineering challenges)
- Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonneut (the summer reading book for the incoming Cornell freshmen class)
